Ok so oddly enough, Roadie warmed up to me before Jamie did. Not by much, but still. Something about me fumbling around like a dork and just,, swooning over Jamie the minute I met him hit the "protec!" nerve lol

He actually let me stay with him when they took me to Junkertown for the first time. Jamie and I weren't together yet, and that empty space upstairs was the perfect spot for me! c:

SMOL DAD

Ok, I know he's like the whole team's mom, but hear me out here.
Engie was the merc I connected with the quickest. Once Scout and I were settled, he was the one that took us around and showed us where everything was and how it worked. He was also the first to get me to really talk. (must be the accents that brought us together lol)

TOL DAD

I didn't know it at the time, but the day Scout and I showed up at base, Heavy was looking out for me. It was at a distance, of course - I was too shy to say much, and he isn't that talkative sometimes either. But the concern was there.
The more we were around each other, the closer we became. Eventually Scout let it slip that my brain's a bit shit sometimes, and Heavy was like "Ok. Time to Officially Protec."
And he's been watching over my shoulder ever since! Having another pocket healer whenever Medic's busy is just a bonus :P

TEAM ATLAS

I mean, really.. who needs to make their own friends, when they can just borrow their boyfriend's? uwu

sasha & fiona

I met Fiona for a hot second on Helios while Rhys was in Jack's office, but our paths didn't cross again until she and Rhys met back up with the Children of Helios.
Somewhere between Rhys leaving the Atlas dome to look for her, and Vaughn getting captured by Kroger, Cassius and I found out Vaughn was still alive and headed for Helios.
That's where I spent most of my time with Sasha and Fiona; while we were planning on how to save Gortys! I'm not entirely sure how we get from there to them being missing by the time Rhys and I leave for Promethia (thanks, randy) but... yeah. That happens lol

zero & lor

I met Zer0 during the Saving Gortys mission, too. He and Rhys kept contact after that, and by association, so did I lol
We all made it to Promethia together, but Atlas work kept both of them busy, especially while Rhys was trying to get things off the ground. Even with the bits I could help with and be there for, there were some things I couldn't attend, or didn't care to.
I usually stuck around Zer0 then, but he got busy sometimes, too. Even with Atlas security, Rhys hated leaving me home by myself, and I wasn't the type to go out and talk to people on my own. So whenever we were out, he'd try to bump into Lor. The longer they stuck around, the more comfortable I got, and the rest is history. c:

TEAM AUGUST

August's line of work has him connecting with most of Pandora's populace, so it was only a matter of time before we started making deals for the Crimson Raiders and met a Vault Hunter or two...

Much like August, we met through her saving my ass. I was still a rookie on Pandora, but I'd convinced him I'd be fine handling a couple deals on my own. And I was... until I fell in a bandit's nest. Technically I met Krieg first, since he's the one that heard me Panic and tried to help me out, but Maya had to step in to make sure I didn't misread things lol

b-team

When Lilith found about my ties to Jakobs, she sent the B-Team to look into me. Eventually, we worked out a deal that helps the Raiders keep a good supply of Jakobs munitions, and Tina convinced everybody that I was her "quiet aunt friend." August and I still live in and work out of Hollow Point, but we visit as much as we can. And we've never missed a Bunkers & Badasses session!

OVERWATCH

Jamie and I met D.va not long after we started working with Overwatch. Out of everybody, she was the 'nicest' to him, and since we're a package deal, I got brought along, too. :3
If we're not on missions, and she isn't busy, we play games together! Sometimes we drag Jamie and Lúcio along, but Hana does most of the carrying ٩(｡•ω•｡)و

Lúcio's kinda the same way. We met both of them at the same time, and Hana had the idea that we should all talk and hang out more. So we were all like "yeah, ok!" and just ran with it lol

DRAGON AGE

Varric was the first one to put any kind of dent in the Inquisitor's walls, and the first person she really called a friend besides her brother. He's helped her become more comfortable in social situations, too... in her own way. He swears her codependency on using puns to fill dead-air isn't his fault, though~

"Ruined a perfectly good mage is what you did. Look at her! She has anxiety!"
Dorian and the Inquisitor may not talk about how they feel all that much, but they care for each other like siblings. If they get too sentimental, the she'll joke about always wanting an older brother. It usually gets her a joke and an elbow to her shoulder, but sometimes it gets her a hug, so it's worth the risk.

iron bull

By the time the Inquisitor meets Bull, Varric's helped her out, to the point that she can meet new people without wanting to run off and cry... most of the time. But for some reason, she's never like that with Bull; from the first time they meet, it's like they've known each other their entire lives.

josie

The Inquisitor has a habit of listening, and Josie has more than enough stories to keep her distracted from staying in her head too long. Perfectly balanced~

cassandra

Everybody needs that one friend that'll bonk some sense into them when they need it. And that's Cassandra ― quick to try and snap the Inquisitor back to center when her anxiety starts becoming too much. They never expected to grow that close, but they balance each other out ...most of the time.
